Activities involving academic or artistic pursuits without accompanying income, or specialized research or learning under expert guidance on uniquely Japanese culture or arts (excluding activities listed under the study and training categories in Table One, Item Four of the Immigration Control Act). Examples include researchers of Japanese culture.
